So what's up since Halloween?

Ok ok, fine! I'll update my blog. I've been a little busy. I haven't posted since Halloween? Man time flies by. Lets take a quick look at a few things that have happened...

1. On November 18th we sold our town home in west valley and moved to Daybreak. We closed on both houses on the same day. Just when I thought it wasn't going to happened, it did. I love my new house and NEVER want to move again. EVER! Seriously, I mean it this time.

2. For thanksgiving we flew to Arizona. My family got to meet baby Davie. The weather was so nice, we ate our turkey on the patio! Well, not "on" the patio, on plates outside. That's my mom and little bro Spence.

Carter was fascinated with the bird. "Grandma, did you kill it? What did you do with all the feathers?"

3.Oh the joys of the Christmas season! I turned 26 and Jesus turned, what like 2046? I'm not so good at Math, don't judge me.
Grandma Johnston and David on Christmas Eve.
Johnston Family Christmas Eve party. Aren't we a good look'n bunch!

4. And for January the Birthdays continue. Carter turned 5, and Dallin 28. (And David is 3 1/2 months now too.)

That about sums it up.

Davids Blessing

Yesterday Dallin blessed David. We had some family get together at Dallins parents church in Bountiful. Dallins sister Jenn had her baby six weeks before David was born, so we decided to bless them at the same time. It was such a perfect afternoon.

This is a Fourth Generation picture. Grandpa Dale Johnston, Dad Lindy Johnston, Dallin, Carter and David.

David holds David. It was so nice that Dallins sister Amanda and her hubby David could come up from AZ for the blessings.

My Aunt Barb and Aunt Judy drove up from Orem. It was so awesome to have them there. They've always supported me and I am so grateful for them.

Snow in October

All I can say is "What the heck!"

Carter enjoyed it.

We had to make a snow man. I mean snow midget. Wait, that can't be right, little snow person?

David is getting so big. He'll be a month old on Sunday.

Let's hear it for the boys!

One night at PCH

David had a little jaundice when we left the hospital but it kept getting worse. He wasn't eating much, hardly wetting diapers and was hard to wake him up after hours of him sleeping. Anyway, at his first doctors appointment on Tuesday they drew his blood to see what his bilirebin count was. (If you have never heard of this don't worry I hadn't either, and I consider myself a pretty smart person.) Well they called that evening and said it was too high. Which means his liver wasn't processing toxins. Anyway, we headed to Primary Children's Hospital for the night. They put him under so UV lights to break up the toxins and a IV to flush them all out. It was so sad to see the little IV in his hand. He had to wear these goggles to protect his eyes. It was so cute. He's so tiny.

Good news, they drew his blood again today and he's doing much better. His biliruben count is just slightly elevated and should be normal in a few days.

The women in my life!

So I have to shout out about 3 awesome women in my life. (And in no particular order)

This is my sister in law Bri. Probably one of the most amazing women I have ever met. She left 4 out of her 5 kids and my brother to fly to Utah and help me out after I had David. She cleaned my house, did my laundry, played with Carter and helped me get through some breastfeeding problems. I think I would of given up if it wasn't for her. She even got up with me in the middle of the night to help. I love my brother more because he brought her into my life.

The next shout our goes to Jenn my other sister in law. Many times she has dropped everything to help me out. When I was in the hospital or on bed rest at home she would come and get Carter and take care of him. By the way, she was either very pregnant or had a new born at the time. Disclaimer:I couldn't find a picture. I know I am lame.

The last (not least) shout out goes to my mother in law Cindy. She is so good at doing the Grandma thing. She has had Carter spend the night many time, often on short notice while I was in the hospital, on bed rest and while David was in the hospital.(While working 60 hours a week too.) She was my support during labor and delivery. She even cut the cord. (Dallin opted out of that one.) Since David has been born she has been over to help, gone shopping for me, taken care of Carter, etc. My kids are blessed to have such an awesome Grandma!
